- How do I join The Activities Club?
1. Read "Who We Are" to see if you are
eligible to join the Club.
2. If eligible, you may wish to attend a general Club Meeting as a guest to see if you would be comfortable joining us.
General Club Meetings take place on the third Tuesday of almost every month in the Fellowship Hall
of the Community Church in Glen Rock. Check the
Club Calendar to be sure that a Club Meeting is scheduled on the date you wish to attend.
3. Get in touch with the membership chairman, who will answer your questions and guide you toward membership.
4. When your application is accepted and your annual dues of $35 paid, WELCOME ABOARD!
- I'm not a resident of Glen Rock. Does that disqualify me?
No. Membership is drawn from Glen Rock and nearby communities.
- Do women participate in Club
activities?
Each Member and a "significant other" are invited to participate in
various social, all-inclusive and tour events during the year.
- How many activities may / must each
member participate in?
There is no prescribed limit.
- How are members' dues used?
The Club Treasurer prepares an annual budget for review by the Steering
Committee and approval by the Executive Committee. Dues are not used to
pay for Activity Group expenses, which are funded by each Group's members
themselves. The major expenditures subsidized by annual Club dues include: meeting facilities, The Activities Club NewsLine, special Club events such as the annual summer
picnic and the annual Christmas/Chanukah Luncheon (which are usually 100% self-supporting), donations and honoraria.
